Bristol is a really multicultural city and has plenty of foreign workers living there throughout the year. There are large Spanish/Afro-Caribbean community living and working there so a good language to communicate with other workers. Restaurants and shops will appreciate language skills to accommodate communicating with foreign customers. Everyone is generally really friendly and welcoming in this city - there are lots of buskers making music on the streets :)
