WORK IN BANGALORE ALL YEAR ROUND

Bangalore is cosmopolitan, laid back at times, tolerant, bubbling. The citizens of Bangalore are go-getting. Bangalore is a gracious city with many gardens and bungalows that was built by the British and the kings that ruled this part of the world. This city is a new addition to the list of global cities often showing up on list of best places to travel.

Information Technology is a booming business in Bangalore. There is always an opening in any of the top IT companies in Bangalore for Software development. Weekly/ monthly flea markets are held here which draws a huge crowd. Artists set up stalls showcasing anything creative they make. This includes cooking, homemade crafts, jewelry, footwear, tee shirts, etc. Bangalore has its own irresistible cuisine, along with offering cuisines from all over the world.

The city has a good music scene. Pubs and bars have musical nights, open mic nights that encourage fresh music. One can always find a crowd that loves music. There are a lot of NGOs that work towards Urban development, education for the under privileged, public education sanitation, hygiene, etc. A lot of seminars are organized by individuals for varied topics, people are always eager to attend these.

Bangalore has already accepted the startup culture and is set up to support young entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs, innovators with ideas, and dreams are making Bangalore their base from where they'll work. Working travelers have to be prepared for the city's warmth and charm, and sometimes its madness.

SEASONAL WORK IN BANGALORE

SPRING

The Botanical garden called Lalbagh in Bangalore hosts Flower shows in the month of August and again in January. Florists, photographers and tour guides can find something to do here.

SUMMER

What comes to top of my mind as job options in Bangalore for the summer are - Swim coaches, sports coaches, foreign language teacher & events organizer.

AUTUMN

What kinds of work are there in Bangalore in autumn? Maybe it's harvest time, but do people need the help of foreigners for either cheap labour or expertise? This is the kind of thing we need to know here.

WINTER

Bangalore's weather is pretty much pleasant from Oct to January. There is no snowfall so that definitely means no skiing . The job scenario in Bangalore pretty much is irrelevant of the weather as it is we do not face extremes of temperature. In terms on variety of jobs that may come up during the winter would be (and i am purely assuming this) - hikes to close by mountains, camping.

ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN BANGALORE

The attitude towards foreigners in Bangalore varies. The locals don't really seem to be welcoming, but then Bangalore is the IT capital due to which there are loads of migrants from others parts of India and most of them are youngsters. This facilitates a friendly crowd. The foreigners working in Bangalore tend to surround themselves with colleagues which is the safest option. This way they do get to experience the local Bangalore and are in safe hands of someone they know.

In terms of cultural acceptability, Bangalore is easy to adapt to because of the mixed demographic, good literacy rate and most professionals having the exposure of working abroad.
