WORK IN THI XA PHAN THIET ALL YEAR ROUND

Phan Thiet is popular among tourists and travellers for the nearby village named Mui Ne. Mui Ne is one of the best places in Asia for kite surfing so since September to April there are a lot of those who want to enjoy or learn kite surfing. They are mostly backpackers and sportsmen from Europe, Australia, USA and Russia. Besides it is one of the so-called Russian resorts. Most of the tourists are Russians, the others are Vietnamese who come to spend their weekends by the sea.
As most Vietnamese living here don’t speak enough English or Russian, foreign workers are welcomed at all bars, kite-schools, language schools, massage salons and shops. If one wants to stay here for the hish season (from September to April) it takes no problem to find a job. If you are Russian it is twice easier.

SPRING

Spring is the end of high season in this region so finding a job at this time is almost impossible.

SUMMER

Summer is the low season here. No tourists, no travelers, almost no opportunity to find any job.

AUTUMN

If you want to stay in Phan Thiet Mui Ne for the high season Autumn is the best time to come and find a job. Any profession in tourism is welcomed. Tour agences, restaurants, sport schools always need English and Russian speaking stuff.

WINTER

If you are a musician, singer, dancer, teacher of English, barman, cook, sales-manager, wind or kite surfer, if you are talkative and active, you will easily get a job here.

ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN THI XA PHAN THIET

Vietnamese people are very friendly and hostile. Most of the people in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are fishermen and farmers and live common life and don’t speak any foreign language. Anyway this don’t stop them from being curious and talkative with travelers. If you are friendly and open it will make you no problem to get new Vietnamese friends here.
