ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN CHIANG MAI

As an American, about 36% of us have a passport. Though this is a small number, it continues to increase. With that said, we are now travelling more and more. I have noticed in my travels that the locals, in some countries, might seem cold but once you start to talk to them ones opinion changes. I don't think they view us as stuck-up, rich or rude but they know that we enjoy being tourist and engaging in the culture. I hate to say this but here in Thailand, the locals and the other tourist are friendlier than the locals back in Southern California and that was shocking.
