WORK IN DEN HAAG ALL YEAR ROUND
Please edit this section to tell travellers what kinds of short term work is available in Den Haag all year round. Mention skills that are in demand here more than other places. If you can get some work as a translator in Den Haag but it is as hard as anywhere else, please don't list it. If it is a region in China that cannot get enough English translators.... I think you get the idea.
SEASONAL WORK IN DEN HAAG
SPRING
What kinds of work are available in the spring time in Den Haag. Remember to keep work that is all year round in the section above and not mention it again here.
SUMMER
The city's beach side town of Scheveningen has been a popular beach side resort for many decades. As a foreigner it is relatively easy to get a job at one of the many beach cafés that open up in summer. They are often looking for someone that speaks English as well as German for serving, but there is also kitchen work, cleaning jobs, and some handywork. Dutch is not necessarily required. It pays to start looking around May or June when they are building and actively looking for personnel. Usually minimum one month, maximum the entire summer (until september). Some places might also pay cash in hand at the end of the day.
AUTUMN
What kinds of work are there in Den Haag in autumn? Maybe it's harvest time, but do people need the help of foreigners for either cheap labour or expertise? This is the kind of thing we need to know here.
WINTER
Skiing in Den Haag - does it exist? Is there plenty of opportunities for people to get work in Den Haag in the winter? What kind of skills are needed at this time of year? ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN DEN HAAG
Den Haag is an expat city. It is home to many international institutions like Interpol, the Peace Palace, the International Criminal Court. Most embassies are located here instead of Amsterdam. It is thus very normal to hear English on the streets and in the pub on a daily basis. Besides all the diplomats the city is getting more popular amongst backpackers as well; between 2010-2015 a bunch of new hostels opened up where there was only one for the entire city before that time.
