AUTUMN

In Autumn, grapes become ripe and have to be harvested, which is still mostly a man power requiring job, as machine damage grapes.
Thus, since Elsass is quite well known to be a white wine region, there are many farms that hire workers during that period, usually over 15 to 30 days, betweenn September and October. As vines also require some work after the harvest, people are also hired during later periods. Some farms collect late grapes, usually before winter, so a working period can go from Sept to Dec.
