ATTITUDE TO FOREIGNERS WORKING IN TORONTO

As one of the most multicultural cities in the world, there is a generally open perception to foreigners working in Toronto.

About 98% of Canadians - regardless of their skin colour - can claim foreign heritage either through their parents or great-great-great-great-great (you get the idea) grandparents. As such, Torontonians are proud of their varied cultural heritage and welcome people from around the world.

The great thing about being a foreigner working in Toronto is that you are probably not the only one from your country! Toronto has been described as a "City of Neighbourhoods" and many of these neighbourhoods are cultural: ChinaTown, Little India, Little Italy, GreekTown, KoreaTown, Little Portugal, even Little Bangladesh!

As long as you come to Toronto with an open attitude, you should have no trouble fitting in!
