The Cave Cooperative is a renovated old winery. We have an apartment and dormitory style accommodation for rent and also run workshops throughout the year on horse related subjects, equine well-being and bodywork for both human and animal.
We are situated in an Idyllic, friendly, peaceful French village of 47 inhabitants. The main language is French, followed by Spanish,German and English.
The nearest town is St Paul de Fenouillet is 15 minutes drive, and the larger town, Ille sur tet, with a train station is 30 minutes drive.
We have stunning views and beautiful countryside. Including dolmans, springs, and a lake. Wildboar and deer are often sighted.

How we work
Each day is different. team work is the key, there are no set hours, all depends on the weather, and what's going on in the cave and the village, minimum of 6 hours helping per day please, in exchange for meals,and accommodation.
Unlimited internet access is available using your own laptop please.
Family includes 3 horses, a mule, cat and a dog, all friendly.
If any one out there understands the 'nature' of the horse , then my herd would be willing partners.
occasionally there is some animal sitting work.
For helpers I can introduce you to the equines and include learning to trim the hooves and equine bodywork.
As a french speaking village, there is plenty of opportunities to learn French. Host speaks French and English fluently.
