Working Traveller Volunteers Required for Farm work nr Beijing

Huairou, the backyard garden of Beijing city, glories in its beautiful natural environment with charming mountain and water. The east bank smallhoding along The huai river is 2 acre which is being developed using organic & permaculture methods. We keep free range chickens and ducks. We have fruit trees, soft fruit, edible perennials and grow a lot of vegetables organically using low carbon no dig techniques. Surplus veg and fruit are made in to jams and dry, sold or bartered. The place is used to teach permaculture and edible landscaping with courses and tours being run on the property. There is a huge variety of tasks at any time of year: watering,sheet mulching, harvesting, weeding, looking after chickens,ducks and gooses, planting and sowing to name a few. Inexperience with this type of work is not a problem as we have a great deal of experience. No need to staff NOW .Hard landscaping skills would be a gift. Accommodation : Double bedroom in house or in Self catering (with gas cooMore...ker & electric) old style static caravan outside farmhouse, use of house wash/toilet facilities. The young host is a graduate and interested in cultures.
