Volunteers Required for Childrens Home in Bangkok

We ask for this level of commitment in order to establish a good rapport with the children, enabling interaction with them on a more personal level. This regularity better aids their development as it helps to stabilise the relationships between volunteers and children, as you become a familiar face to them. It is very disrupting for our children when volunteers come once only, or suddenly stop coming. Similarly, it takes time to make sure that volunteers are properly introduced to our way of working, and we need to ensure that our staff time is used efficiently. Volunteering in an environment like Camillian Home can be emotionally draining and physically tiring; therefore, volunteers must show a level of emotional stability and maturity. The role also requires much patience, enthusiasm, creativity and energy. Volunteers with the following skills will be given special consideration: speech therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, music teacher, art teacher, early years teMore...acher, nurse, nutritionist, and cook. You may choose whether you wish to stay onsite at the main Camillian Home building, or at a separate staff house a 15 minute walk from the Home. Both types of accommodation include clean sheets, pillows, towels and hot water. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided at Camillian Home. Please note that we are unable to accommodate volunteers who have special diets such as strict vegetarians or peanut allergies, etc. Minimal kitchen facilities, wifi, and laundry facilities are available at Camillian Home, but not at the staff house.
