Volunteer Care Workers and Nursing Assistants Urgently Required

There are two types of volunteer experience available here at the Camillian Social Center Rayong. The first being the opportunity to work in the open air at our Garden of Eden. The second being the opportunity to work with the terminally ill patents in our Palliative Care Unit. See below for details. A minimum of one month stay is required for both. At our Garden of Eden the work in the field begins early at first light which in the part of the world comes at approximately 5:30am,. Most of the patents there have recovered from our Palliative Care Unit and have to grow the crops to support themselves. You can help them. The Palliative Care unit is a 32 bed unit located at the main centre near Rayong. It consists of four wards – a nine bed ward for patients needing more intensive care; a 14 bed ward for those who have physical or mental limitations and/or require a medium level of care and two four bed dorms for patients who are primarily self caring and are preparing for returnMore... to society. The Unit is run by a Supervisor under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The supervisor was previously a patient at the centre and has trained as a caregiver and in managerial responsibilities. He is in charge of the day to day running of the unit. There are also 10 caregivers, also previous patients. All caregivers are trained in basic nursing care. Hide
