We are situated in a beautiful part of Turkey. Lots of free time to relax & sunbathe. Use of pools. We are situated in a large valley surrounded by pine forested hills. The coast is less than 10 miles away. The village is called Uzumlu. Uzumlu is 18km from Fethiye in the District of Mugla in the South West of Turkey.
Uzumlu is 500m above sea level surrounded by high peaks. The summertime temperature reaches 40 deg C and above. Winter is cold and can be wet too. Uzumlu means grape valley. We live in a mountain valley that is 8km (5 miles) long and 2km (1.5 miles) wide. Uzumlu is 500m above sea level. Hills and mountains surround the valley. Pine forests cover the hills and mountains. The forests have shaded tracks ideal for riding or walking. The nearest highest peak looms 400m above Uzumlu. Every house or farm has grapevines growing. There are vineyards scattered all over the valley. The scenery is fantastic. The air clean and fresh. Our drinking water is from a natural spring which is one of the best in Turkey. There are a number of very good eateries that offer traditional Turkish food. There is also a bar/restaurant if you want to just have a drink. The local Turkish people are very friendly.
The coast is 18km away. 15/20mins by car or 25/30mins by bus. This would be 2 bus rides.
The famous Blue Lagoon at Oludeniz is 20km away, 30mins by car or 40 to 45mins by bus, again 2 buses.
Fethiye is the local large town situated on the coast in a wonderful bay. This is 17km away, 1 bus ride. The Dolmus (bus) is very cheap. A ride into Fethiye is 4.5TL From Fethiye to Oludeniz is the same price.
