Medium / Long Term Volunteering Opportunities in Haiti

Between 3 and 12 months, medium-long term volunteering is organized in Haiti around education, environment, health, human rights, construction and other projects. Engaging in long-term volunteering is not just for young people. Lasting more than 2 months (3, 6 or even 12 months!) With one of our international partners, it can be carried out within the EU or further afield, and the themes of the projects are numerous and varied. These volunteering opportunities are privileged moments to "live something else, differently", to change your daily life … but also the opportunity to discover another language, other ways of getting involved and working, to meet different people and new life choices. Many volunteering projects are offered, in a wide variety of fields. By presenting these projects to you, our partners invite you to discover another environment, to get involved in a field that is not necessarily the one you have chosen as a professional path … Our partners are coMore...mmitted to developing projects and pathways allowing anyone to experience mobility and citizen participation, to discover and pursue commitments. The projects we are proposing do not fall within the framework of humanitarian action, nor within the framework of emergency aid. Volunteers participate in a project for a fixed period, which allows them to discover and understand life in another culture. Volunteers are not employees, they do not receive a salary. Volunteering is therefore not a way of "earning a living", nor a school internship, but a way of enriching oneself by making a concrete contribution to a project of collective utility. In general, no special professional skills or qualifications are required. It is a choice which means: leaving one's familiar environment, adapting to a living environment with different working methods, eating habits, rhythms of life, dealing with possible language and communication difficulties, find your place in a project, be creative, dynamic, open and tolerant. When you volunteer to help those in need in Haiti, your concrete and compassionate actions can make all the difference for them. But that's not all.
