Dear Working Travellers

We live in Haikou city, the capital of a beautiful tropical island---Hainan Island. We have a seven-story building as our home with good location, convenient transportation and convenient living. The building use for owner-occupied and rental, also provides short-term accommodation for backpackers and tourists. There are markets, schools, supermarkets, hospitals and shopping areas nearby. Our home is about 20 minutes ride from the sea where there are wonderful beaches. 5 minutes' walk north of Hainan Provincial Station (The West Bus Station) where you can take long-distance bus to other provinces of south China and also cities and counties in western Hainan Island such as Chenmai, Lingao, Danzhou, Changjiang and so on. Also bus to downtown. 10-minute walk south up to the Hainan Provincial People's Hospital; walk west 15 minutes up streets, markets and shopping areas; east, 15 minutes' walk to Hairui Tomb(A local cultural attractions). We welcome one or two volunteers who are poliMore...te, honest, independent, industrious, open-minded, optimistic and willing to learn and help for 1-2 weeks, visiting anytime all year round. Volunteers normally helps with the following work: cleaning the house, farming, lichees and guavas orchards picking( it depends on seasons,orchards is about 16km away), cooking, some housework and maybe helping with selling in the market. Sometimes we will working along with you, but you should also be able to manage alone when we are working off-site. We would like you to work 5 hours a day (flexible) and you have 2 days off a week, We would also like to have a trial period of 2 days and if all goes well we welcome a long happy stay with us. We offer accommodation (a room in the house) and food(If we are too busy you prepare your own meals) in exchange,but no salary. You will have a bunk bed in a private room with your own bathroom. We also provide shower, laundry, TV, free Internet,free bicycle and show around some of Haikou city. And maybe a small library in the near future. What’s more, if you like music and band, you are welcome to visit my friend’s music shop where you can play piano, guitar, other instruments and enjoy a good time. We´re easy going people and Working Traveller gives us an opportunity to see/meet the world without leaving home.
