Events Executive – Global Communications Agency (October – December 2016) – Paid Internship
> Assisted in the planning and execution for the first launch of Vogue Arabia (Vogue Fashion Prize) in Dubai.
> Supported the organisation and management of the GCA VIP gifting lounge at the Formula One after race concerts for 3 consecutive days. This also included set up a week prior to the event.
> Facilitated in the running of the GCA VIP gifting lounge at the Dubai International Film Festival which progressed over the course of 10 days.
> Duties included: Assisting in set-up & break down of the events, liaising with celebrities, contractors, brands, suppliers, and venues. Coordination, running of guest-lists, supervision of gift distribution, management of guests within the lounges, planning of décor and furniture arrangement, formulating event schedules, establishing and editing budgets, creating celebrity portfolios and event profiles, sourcing and sending of invitations, locating quotes for event proposals.
