I have just completed my first year as an Undergraduate Psychology Student in which I achieved a 2:1 overall. My first year included modules such as Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Statistical Methods and I also took a German subsidiary module alongside my first year to further my GCSE German.

I have developed strong customer service skills through full training as a children’s party host and sales assistant. In addition to this training, I am also front of house trained which helped improve my communication skills when answering the and serving customers face to face. I am also coffee barista trained. Through processing payment transactions and presenting a professional and friendly first impression to all customers, I have acquired strong patience and attentiveness skills.
Volunteer – Youth club run for adults with special needs
(September 2014 – June 2016)
Through volunteering at the youth club, I have developed a further understanding of the barriers which young adults with special needs face. This has improved my communication skills as I independently began to learn sign language via internet to communicate with the deaf members. I also developed great conversational skills and confidence through offering support and motivation to these young adults.
Volunteer- National Citizenship Service

Through various daily activities including rock climbing, hiking and various others, I developed teamwork and leadership skills in order to engage and successfully work as a team. I also developed organisation skills through running soup kitchens for the homeless and advertising them around the local area.
Volunteer- Shrewsbury pilgrimage to Lourdes

Through my time as a Lourdes Volunteer, I developed great interpersonal skills through aiding the adults daily, helping on hospital duty, preparing meals and assisting them when eating and also building a good, trusting rapport with the adults.
Fundraising and Marketing Intern- Women’s Aid Integrated Services

During my time as a fundraising and marketing intern, I attended various meetings with businessmen and women from companies such as John Lewis, I also attended a specialist domestic violence court in which I gained interpersonal skills and more knowledge into real life domestic abuse cases. I also gained organisational skills as I organised a tombola for the charity’ annual garden party. I also gained communication skills through writing prospect letters and applying for funding from local companies.
Mental health placement in Bali- Volunteer
(July 2018 – July 2018)
I gained practical experience within the mental sector through planning and running therapeutic sessions at a local psychiatric facility, working with children in orphanages, working at a centre for schizophrenic males and working at a variety of facilities for people of all ages and abilities including autism and down syndrome. These experiences enabled me to enhance my organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, I gained cultural awareness outside of a western context through participating in various workshops such as hypnotherapy and meditation as a therapeutic tool.

Hobbies & Interests
As part of my first year in University, I joined the sign language society in which I further developed my knowledge of sign language through weekly meetings with the society. About Me
I am currently an undergraduate student about to finish my final year of University in July 2019. Therefore, I am looking to travel after University, hopefully in America. I am seeking jobs to fund my travelling opportunities. I enjoy reading books, particularly based on true events/true crime. I like swimming, running, going out with friends and going to the cinema. I am an optimistic individual excited to explore the world and meet new people along the way!
