Freelance photographer and (self-proclaimed) writer. I hold a degree in Criminology (University of Leiden). I have just completed an intensive Journalism (home study) course and just started an online intensive course in Photojournalism at the New York Institute of Photography. I have worked in mental heatlh care for almost 2 years, working with mentally ill and physically handicapped people. I also have tutored students for three years, two of students had a mental disability.
I've been a photographer for 5 years now, of which three years semi-professionally. I am pretty handy with a computer (Windows, Adobe, Microsoft). I am creative, though I wouldn't exactly call myself a painter or anything. I'm also a writer. I have had my own horse for 9 years, with 6 years of previous experiences with horses. I've worked with mentally ill people and people with physical handicaps. I also have administrative experiences, of which working for an insurance company for a year.

About Me
My name is Tess, I am a 25 year old freelance photographer and (self-proclaimed) writer. I am a very creative person, being involved in all sorts of artsy and creative things for as long as I can remember, but part of me is also very scientifically and clinically oriented. For this reason, I hold a degree in Criminology (University of Leiden). If it were up to me, I'd spend all my time outdoors, though I do enjoy a nice evening with a laptop on my lap or a book in my hands. I love to work and work hard and not afraid to get my hands dirty! I'm pretty energetic, very independent and (most of the time) quite adventurous. I am, however, a thinker so I while I am adventurous and love to explore, I would not do something rash quickly and I always think things through (sometimes, a bit too much, haha).
Apart from photography and writing, my hobbies include reading, listening to music, walking/hiking/going on adventures, running/sports/working out and cooking (your kitchen garden sounds amazing!). I'm a vegetarian, partly vegan (I do eat eggs and goat products) and highly prefer my food either gluten or compley grain-free. Here at home, we don't have a really big garden, but I do love to work in the garden (though I'm a bit much afraid of ) and am pretty handy in the house. I've been pretty much running the household here back home. We also have chickens here (usually 2 at the time) and I spend most of my childhood running around near animals, whether they be present at our local riding-school/horse stables, or just in the area. I love most animals (smaller ones with more than 4 legs usually aren't appreciated). I don't have much experience in the handyman kind of way, but always keen to learn new things and putting it to practice.
I live by two simple rules. One: Karma. Two: you give what you get and you get what you give. I believe in honesty, openness and kindness, but I'm not one to mess about with.
