Hello! I hope you are well
My name is Steven, I'm a student living in England starting university in September but I would like to travel and help teach English to students at a monastery. To teach myself about another way of life and perhaps to earn a new perspective would be nice.
I am interested in mediation and Buddhism in general of all its forms. To live a simpler way of life and immerse myself within the world would be an eye opening way to live. In exchange I would like to teach and share our knowledge. I would also help in any other way asked.
In regards to skills in teaching it is all new to me but I have determination to learn and my sister is teaching me as she is a primary school teacher. I am also starting a Tefl course which will be good for me to learn the basics. I am fluent in English and well-spoken with a southern English accent.
To keep my creativity afloat I studied fashion design for 2 years, art design for 1 year and Tailoring for 1 year also. In September I will be starting university for 3 years to study fashion again. However I feel the need to make sure this is what I want.
Which leaves me with approximay 3-4 months of time to be spent volunteering and learning about your ways.
In my spare time I sketch and enjoy drawing a lot as it is time to concentrate my efforts towards something. I would like to share with others if they would join me as-well.
I start university on the 25th of September, so from here till then I am free to help and volunteer if you know of anyone who would have me. I am sure you will have specific questions for me as I do for you, so I hope we can talk more about this 🙂 Have a good day and I look forward to talking.
