Food preparation assistant, catering assistant, hospitality assistant

(I worked also at social events, when needed also in other roles, like cloakroom assistant, stewards at games on stadiums and in kitchens, as a very entry level but enthusiast commis chef)

I love interacting with customers and I love food. I rely on quality, inner values and ethics and an enthusiastic approach in my work.

I have a quite broad exposure in the catering industry, starting with preparing and serving fast food on stadiums like Wembley, through being a contract catering assistant at the cantinas of various corporations in the City of London or an organic shop, to attempting to do the tasks of a junior commis chef or line chef in a few restaurants (a sushi one included), or even working briefly in CPU industrial kitchens.
In the hospitality industry, I worked mainly at social events, setting up and serving (I love interacting with guests!) and also had other roles as hospitality assistant for conferences and after parties, cloakroom assistant and a few times I even worked as a plain steward on stadiums. All of them were lovely!

- Serving customers with hot food and fresh food from the ‘Chef’s case’ (offer of proteins with a wide selection of sides/salads).

- Preparing and closing food sections; taking periodically temperatures of food, taking part in cleaning and incipient cooking tasks;

- Informing customers at the food bar on ingredients, offers and optimal choices. Assisting customers in the store when necessary.

- Preparing the cold section (maki, nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, salads). Interacting often with customers, informing them about ingredients/allergens in dishes.

- Cutting vegetables and the rolls for portioning the dishes. Assembling the dishes in plates colored according to the price, attaching time labels (with the exact expiry hour) to the lids, making the dishes available on the sushi belt in series and announcing loudly to the customers every freshly prepared series.
