About Me

I enjoy problem solving and working on theatre productions. I like teaching and helping people out on how to use stuff.
The skills that I have and believe to be highly relevant to this job include: excellent communication, understanding of the equipment, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, very organized and with the willingness to diversify. I've had quite a lot of experience as a Sound Engineer. During my career as a Theatre technician at the key theatre, Coleg Menai College and as a freelancer I have had many successes, such as helping students and staff, working as a team, fixing/maintaining equipment, prioritising duties. Additionally, I have undertaken training and qualifications to help further my career and believe my unique blend of skills can offer a great deal.
My activities in and outside of work call for me to be a team player, able to communicate effectively, and use my organisational skills to enable multitasking. I also understand how important it is to listen and provide my input on all related matters, sharing concerns and ideas. I'm very experienced in all Sound and Light equipment, especially digital and analogue mixing desks, dynamic processors and speaker systems.
During my time at Coleg Menai I have had experience as a cameraman, editor, and producer in charge of a filming productions for the local Council.
I have had experience with many events such as theatrical shows, festivals, gigs, live TV and radio shows over recent years. During which I had the responsibility of organising and assembling a couple of live shows.
During my time at University I spent time in professional studios recording numerous bands, as well as working in live venues using a portable recording studio.
Both at University and at Coleg Menai, I had the opportunity to make music videos, TV and Radio adverts, promotional films, show reels and lesson videos.
My roles as a freelancer, and apprentice in Coleg Menai, and working on the family farm have drawn out the creative side of me. I am often fixing or building equipment such as cables, amplifiers, PCs, stands etc.
My apprenticeship has involved working with AV and video conferencing equipment, along with sound and lighting work. Highlighting the need to make communication and events more efficient for the economy and environment in the current climate.
The design and creation of sites, and podcasts and videos for promotion sites such as and were part of my training on the University course.
The family run farm includes a campsite and numerous self catering accommodations, with which I have been heavily involved, along with other roles over the years has given me experience in hospitality, and worked on my customer service and care skills.
I am a hard worker, doing my best to plan ahead and find the best results to any problems if it should arise.
