Work Experience:
The Warehouse Project 2015 – Present
I work as part of the stock team at the Warehouse Project, roles include build up and de-rig for events such as Parklife, Kendal Calling, Leeds Garden Party and the Warehouse season. Throughout the season my duties also include keeping bars stocked, taking deliveries and performing stock checks. During festivals I’m a stock supervisor, so my duties then also include ensuring my stock team are working efficiently and there is minimum waste at the end of the event. I was awarded employee of the week and recommended to other companies as a significant member of staff, both trustworthy and hard working.
International Citizen Service - Tanzania - 2015
I spent 10 weeks volunteering in a small rural village in Tanzania, building a safer, cleaner water system for the village. During my time there, my team and our NGO also built a sanitation centre, displaying all possible examples of a hygenic latrine, no matter the resources available. To help promote the use of these and good personal hygiene in general, we held SWASH sessions with the local schools every week, to educate the young people of the village the importance of washing your hands and treating water before consumption. Upon returning home I was required to complete my Action at Home, for this I led a presentation at a local school to talk about recycling and waste management, I created a comic book as part of this to hand out to the young people at the end of the session, so they had something fun and educational to read, with useful links on the back, incase they wanted to look further into recycling, waste management, water conservation etc. The many skills I took away from the experience include; new language skills (Basic Swahili), team leader skills, organisation, adapting to a new culture, the list is very long!
Mint Staffing Solutions 2014 - 2015
During my time with Mint I have carried out a variety of different jobs including waitressing, bar work, kiosk work and housekeeping. This work has given me the essential skills needed to pursue a career in customer service and hospitality. I now have proven experience of cash handling, face-to-face customer service, working under pressure and complaint handling.
Barnardos 2011 - 2012
Whilst studying for my NVQ Level 2 in Youth & Community work, I volunteered one day a week at Barnardos in assisting and support both staff and the young people. The duties of this role included planning and preparing an art project, identifying where the young people needed assistance and support both individually and as a group, and making their time in the art group enjoyable and comfortable. Ecclesfield School 2009 - 2010 I did 6 weeks voluntary work in the art department, helping with after school activities as well. I helped with display boards and organising stock rooms. I also assisted in some T-Shirt printing classes.

Profile:
I’m a very positive and outgoing person who enjoys helping people at any given opportunity. Whilst my work experience is brief, I have continued to learn and grow through volunteering and community projects. Doing this voluntary work has enabled me to meet and work alongside people from all different backgrounds, which has given me the skills and confidence to approach any situation comfortably, no matter how difficult. I enjoy getting to know people and I am always eager to learn new things, and to get involved with new projects.
About Me
I love picking up a pencil and sketching away in my free time, I also enjoy reading, there are far too many to pick a favorite and I will happily pick up anything and give it a read. Music is a massive part of my life and with working in live music events I've adapted to a love for all the genres, but I particularly like David Bowie and Woodkid. I am a really positive person, and it's often the first thing I am noticed for, there is always a reason to smile and so I am always smiling! I'm good at spotting the positive in the negatives and encouraging others to crack a smile.
