About Me

Positive and always accompanied by a smile and a bicycle - YES, that's me in a nutshell.

My name is Shirley, I'm Dutch, 23 years old and just graduated from University. I recently made my first trip outside Europe, and couldn't have wished for a better experience. I loved meeting new people, locals in specific. Explore their culture, their habits and their food. Although I don't really eat meat (let's say, I am a part-time vegetarian), I found out that there's a whole lot to discover in the world of food and drinks. I like a drink - or more than one - but I evenly enjoy sharing a cup of tea.

Although it sounds counterintuitive, I'd describe my personality as spontaneous , but a bit shy at the same time. I love spending time with friends, old and new, but need some me-time every once-in-a-while. In my free time, I like to do sports (gymnastics, outdoor activities, cycles, the gym) or go out for food. Food makes people happy, right?

I'm looking for a place where I work with people, help them where possible - and learn from them simultaneously. Although I don't have any experience teaching English, I speak English fluently, am patient and enthusiastic, and more than willing to start teaching! I have experience tutoring students aged 12-18, mainly in the field of (Business) Economics and Maths and enjoy this a lot 🙂
