Originally from Sussex in the , I trained as an actress at one of UKs leading drama schools ‘Drama Centre’- graduating in 2008 with a degree in Acting, before spending the last five years travelling the world. Through my travels I have had the pleasure of working in a huge variety of places and situations, from receptionist and tour sales agent in Australia, to Drama and English teacher in Vietnam. Most recently I have been working on an ad-hoc basis as a freelancer for ‘PA Far Away’, a remote assistance company. There we provide several PA services worldwide and used time zones to our advantage for swift turnaround of work.  I have strong administrative skills, experience in Microsoft programs and Photoshop, and pride myself in my organization and great customer relations.

 

My variety of experience has taught me to deal with people in a friendly and confident manner and helped me to develop a professional work ethic. I believe I have excellent communication skills and work well within a team, having an open mind and professionalism at all times. I have gained a lot of experience through various customer service related roles and proved myself to be adaptable and flexible in the workplace.

Sharn Jackson

After finishing secondary school in Cape Town, South Africa, I went on to work two six-monthbasic bar-live-in jobs in London for a yearlong period in 2008, establishing an ethic of hard work coupled with long hours but also serious self-pride and independence at 19 years of age.

Returning after a year due to acceptance at the University of Cape Town I studied a Bachelor of Social Sciences. Upon commencement of my degree I started a business called Red Oak Care with my father and a third partner, out of a passion and respect for the elderly, born out of the passing of an elderly family member and the agency we went through to aid her.

3 years later I started a second business which we called Red Oak Green with the potential to operate in a new, green, innovative market, emerging in South Africa. This was born from the GroPro Worm Farm & Vertical Garden which I slowly designed over the course of 2 years and remains our flagship product to this day.

In 2019 we have launched a very fresh concept, in its infancy, with the aim of distributing laptops to university students with laptop allowances.  

While these entities continue to tick over in the background,they have not made me rich yet and between myself and my girlfriend we still have a burning need to travel and make some money while doing so.

Starting businesses has made me a team player and given me good communication skills. I am hard working and not afraid of manual labor. I am described as laid back, easy going and pride myself on being kind and humble. I am also not afraid to learn new things and learn them quickly.
