Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii. My name is Richard Martin.
I am a 28 year old self-employed handy-man, carpenter, gardener and jack-of-all-trades. I am a little over 6 ft tall, with a well-maintained physique and an impeccable work ethic. I have experience with various construction materials, I am also proficiently trained in the use of power tools and some heavy machinery. I have been going lots of back-yard organic gardening for the past 4 years and have developed many new skills and techniques. I am excited to get out of my comfort zone meet new people, while engaging in new and challenging experiences.

I have worked many jobs in my 28 years of life. I grew up in India and was there until age 14, this was where i acquired my "McGuyvering Skills" I officially entered the workforce as a raspberry picker in Ontario Canada at age 14. I worked with my Uncle on remodeling his home In Guelph, Ontario. This is where i discovered my passion for building and construction.
At age 16 I moved to Hawaii worked at a couple fast food restaurants. I worked at a grocery store for 2-3 yrs, starting in the front end, eventually stocking the shelves at night then transitioned into offloading the container trucks with forklift and "breaking down" pallets of product according to product's aisle/location in the store.
Shortly afterwards i took a trip to Colorado and worked as a "Stanley Carpet Cleaner" guy for 4-5 months also worked at a moving company during the same time and a few months afterwards before returning to Hawaii.
After returning to Hawaii in early I went to work as a carpenter/handyman apprentice with a company on Oahu. Also worked at a wood door company for over a year as their primary wood worker and craftsman.
I started working on my own for the last 3-4 years as a carpenter and handyman. I have found no shortage of work for a man who can do practically everything from foundation to roofing and everything in between.
I also own and operate a Christmas Lighting company , which specializes in residential holiday lighting here on Oahu.
About Me
I enjoy drawing, reading playing and exercising in my spare time. I can also cook pretty well, I cook for myself and others whenever necessary. I am a Brazilian Jiujitsu Blue belt and enjoy training various martial arts. I have a very active metabolism-so please note you will get the most productive and enthusiastic work from me if I am well-fed.
I want to see everything in the world that excites me and comprehend all that intrigues me.
