I have experience working in the catering and bartending sector having worked for 3 years in a local inn and microbrewery. During this time I acted as a shift manager in the pub, as well as working in the kitchen. I also worked as a VIP host at the millennium stadium offering second to none VIP customer service.

Propulsion Engineering Intern, GE Aviation Wales July 2013 – June 2014
and June 2015 – Sept 2015
 During my sandwich year as part of my degree in mechanical engineering I have been employed by GE
Aircraft Engine Services Wales.
 The South Wales GE site is a repair and overhaul engine workshop dedicated to performing OEM services to
a variety of GE Aircraft Engines.
 A large portion of my time was spent collating and compiling documentation which is to be returned to the
customer as a timeline of the work we had performed
o Much of this documentation are a legal requirement to allow certification of the final product,
therefore it must be completed with the highest degree of accuracy.
 I had a large amount of with the customer through both video and e conferences. This has
enabled me to develop a clear, confident e manner.
 Due to tight schedules in returning the product to the customer I had to work to very tight deadlines, this has
made me hardworking to meet schedules and reduce delays.
Honorary Midshipman (RNR), Wales University Royal Naval Unit Sept 2011 - Present
 At university became a member of the University Royal Navy Unit. This is a RNR organization, which is
designed to give carefully selected students opportunities to experience what the Royal Navy has to offer. It
is not however designed as a recruitment channel, but instead a way to increase the awareness and need for a
naval defense force.
 While in the unit I have had the opportunity to develop leadership skills and the opportunity to work as part
of a great team.
 It has helped me develop my time management skills by having to juggle commitments to the Navy with my
busy studies as an Engineering undergraduate.
 I have spent time organizing a of events which are attended by a of local VIPs, this has
developed my organizational skills as well as negotiation skills while dealing with vendors.
VIP Host, Millennium Stadium - WRU Oct 2012 – July 2013
 As a VIP host I am expected to welcome VIP guests to and from the stadium and ensure that they enjoy every
aspect of their visit to the Millennium Stadium and deal with any of their complaints should they have any.
We are to act as a point of liaison between the guests and the rest of the stadium staff.
 This has given me the skills required to communicate with highly valued and prestigious clients including on
one occasion royalty.

Bar Worker/ Temp Manager, John Thompson Inn and Brewery 2009-2012
 At the John Thompson Inn and Brewery I have learned all the necessary skills required to set up and run the
bar of this traditional rural pub.
 On occasion the owner would delegate me as manager for the day when he was unavailable, some of my
additional responsibilities would be stock management, managing bookings for accommodation and diners,
and the auditing of the tills at close.
 Other duties would include some kitchen skills (such as general food preparation for the Carvery, and basic
kitchen hygiene).
 I would also assist with the turn around of on site holiday accommodation, by means of handling check-ins
and stock management for the accommodation

About Me

I am a hard-working and friendly engineering graduate. I like to engage in social situations. And like to combine working hard with having fun. This I believe makes me an ideal candidate for volunteering at a festival
