Host overview

Located in Charles County, southern Maryland, 50 miles south of Washington Of our 80 certified organic acres, about 15 are in seasonal organic vegetables and a young persimmon/kiwi/fig orchard. Its’ bounty is sold at the Dupont Circle farmers market in Washington , supplementing a CSA, and to a few local restaurants. The remaining area is in grass for mulch-hay and compost production, as well as in woods, and marsh bordering on a tidal river.

We consist of lifetime farmer Heinz and family. We are seeking people who are active believers in an alternative food system, and in the physical, mental, and emotional attributes that make such a system viable. Good work ethic, not separate from life ethic, for us is expressed through mindfulness, initiative, and self-responsibility, guided by community-spirit, and earth-pride.
