About Me
Hi! My name is Natalie, I'm 22 and a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham with a First-Class bachelors degree in Ancient History.
So as you can imagine, being in Naples for more than a few days is a dream of mine. I've been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time in Europe and Naples is my favourite place I've ever been, despite the asthma attack I had as a kid 'cos I forgot to take my inhaler up Vesuvius with me.
I'm an avid reader. I love all things fantasy and true crime. I'm a fan of Shakespeare and Sappho and poetry in general, and I like to read nonfiction history books about current events across the world too. My politics lean towards the left (I hate that Brexit happened too) but I'm relaxed about it. I was elected to my university's lesbian/gay/bisexual/trans association and volunteered extensively with them during my time at uni - I'm incredibly tolerant and open minded AND I can throw a damn good party. In England I lean towards veganism for health reasons but I tend to go vegetarian in Europe as its easier and Naples is the home of the best pizza I ever had.
When it comes to movies, I love campy B-List horror flicks like the Resident Evil and Evil Dead series. Crime/Gangster movies are good, as are more artsy things from your Wes Anderson/Guillermo del Toro types. Love Marvel movies and comics / DC comics too (less so the ).
I'm also an avid gamer, faves include The Elder Scrolls, Spec Ops: The Line, Faster Than Light, Bioshock, Half-Life etc, the usual suspects.
Music-wise I'l listen to anything but I tend to go more for the chill stuff. Grimes, Vampire Weekend, Bleachers, Fall Out Boy and Mindless Self Indulgence are a few of my favourites. I'm also into drum and bass / electro-swing and I always have space for vapid pop music.
Optimistic and boisterous to a fault. Probably the happiest 5ft person you'll ever meet.
