My skills

I recently took the risk to quit my 9-5 job and travel the world. My goal is to support business start ups with creative exploration, design thinking and configure a way to challenge social problems with a solution focused approach. I am innovative, curious entrepreneur and best placed helping people to uncover their purpose, create a start up with a social focus and set up their own gig using their unique skill set. I have experience of helping many start ups and look forward to working with people who are ready to change or develop their career and create a positive impact for people or the planet!

January 2018 – Present – Associate Lecturer – Social Innovation and Changemaker Foundation Framework


In addition to my previous role, this involves promotion of Social Innovation (SI) across an Ashoka U Campus. Working with over 200 students on a range of subjects to uncover some of the most creative ways to use their skills using SI as the vehicle to solving social problems.


February 2016 – December 2017 – Lecturer - Foundation Degree Health & Social Care


Carried out teaching and supporting activities including marking, preparation, course monitoring, placement visits, tutorial and dissertation supervision, course administration, curriculum development, cohort leadership. Teaching topics include: social innovation, rights and inclusion, gender and culture, academic skills, placement tutor, employability support, active blending learning, eLearning.


September 2015 – February 2016 – Graduate Teaching Research Assistant


Researching topics around social and community development matters. Offering 1-2-1 and small group appointments to meet a variety of needs and support small groups of students.


October 2014 – August 2015 – Academic Development Assistant


A direct facing student role supporting those struggling to meet academic thresholds which provided immense development around empathy, decision making and analytical skillsets.


January 2014 – Present – Co-Founder of a youth initiative


A social enterprise in the local area awarded Educational Award in Spirit of Corby and New Pioneer Project of Northamptonshire 2015/2016.

Implemented a programme of events for staff and students at University of Northampton and connected using high spec technology to discuss social challenges from global perspectives.

Future Aspirations


As a versatile and creative candidate, I hope this CV has been able to evidence that, through hard work and determination, I have been able to achieve the goals and high expectations I previously aspired to. Graduating as a first-class honours student in 2014 and achieving status for the University of Northampton’s Changemaker Lecturer of the Year in 2016 has been a phenomenal experience. However, having been fortunate to be able to develop a wide range of both practical and educational, transferrable skills, I further aspire to continue my education career in a national or overseas role. I am keen to work with individuals, groups or an organisation who are looking to build social innovations and require entrepreneurial support. I look forward to embarking on an inspirational career in which I can utilise my knowledge and achievements to tackle real time problems by knowledge sharing combined with creative and sustainable solutions to their challenges. I am passionate about supporting others to innovatively use hands on, practical experience to help them recognise their own skills and assets which can be utilised to enhance their own work-based learning environment.
