I hold a bachelor's degree in social work and sociology and a master's degree in sociology, with knowledge of statistics, research methods and migration issues. In recent years I have worked in research, customer service and hospitality. I also have work experience from agriculture (field work), factory lines and construction sites. PERSONAL SKILLS
Communication - I have a lot of experience communicating with people from different backgrounds and fields of life gained through voluntary youth work, exchange studies in Norway and Italy, work with disabled and elderly people, my travels and internship in Azerbaijan.
Organisational / managerial skills - I have good organisational skills and team management skills that I have gained by organizing academic seminars in Association of Sociology students in Estonia, and by organizing voluntarily different events for children and teenagers in various youth centers.
Digital competence - I consider myself everyday user who manages most computer problems that arise in this context (with some help from Google). I have worked as a technical support for Acer, I use office suite daily, have worked with booking systems for social transport (shared taxis), cash register and have knowledge of two statistical programs (SPSS and Stata).
About Me
I`m positive and smiling person (really, I laugh a lot :), who wants to experience world and different aspects of life around me. I think independent traveling and volunteering is the best way to get out of my comfort zone and learn something new about my surroundings and myself. During my travels I like to get out of the cities as much as I can. I love mountains, hiking and rock climbing but I also like the sea and kayaking. At the same time I also enjoy a quiet day with a book or a movie. I read a lot as I am interested in history and geopolitics and I also like to keep myself updated with current political developments. A lot of my favorite books are from fantasy genre though (f ex. Terry Pratchett's and Philip Pullman's books).
