On Megan's resignation from Sibuya l will gladly write a reference for her. Megan worked at Sibuya Game Reserve & Tented Lodge, a 46 bedded unit comprised of two rustic luxury tented eco-camps, and one more luxurious lodge - all catering to international and local eco tourists. The three are:-Forest Camp with 22 beds (adults only), and River Camp with 16 beds (8 adults + 8 children), and the more luxurious Bush Lodge with 8 beds. Megan worked as the Camp Manager at our more luxurious Bush Lodge, for most of the 3 years that she worked for us.
Megan started work at Sibuya in January 2017, as a Camp Co-ordinator. This position is responsible for the hands on management of housekeeping, bar and catering departments at the camps - as well as being the guest liaison person who ensures the guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us. The position works closely with the Camps Manager and the Operations Manager. The Camp Co-ordinator also works with and trains the Hospitality Student lnterns that we have working with us from Ho school colleges in Holland, Germany and the Megan soon proved to be an asset, and was promoted to camp Manager of Bush Lodge,
Megan excelled at all of the above duties ! lt was due to her tireless efforts and passion, as well as her loyalty and extremely high work ethic, that we had such a successful Bush Lodge team. Her cheerfulness and energy affected everybody that she worked with, and this kept the whole team's spirits and energy levels up. She was always willing to assist with all other work other than her allocated duties and worked very long hours, over and above what was expected of her. she proved to be very popular amongst all the Sibuya staff and Management and well liked by the guests. We had rave reviews from every guest that dealt with Megan. Although she worked such long hours every day she was always a happy person, even while coping with the aspects of living in the bush in a canvas tent with no electricity and missing the comforts of normal daily life. she was excellent at dealing with people from all levels of life - she won the hearts of every person that she came into with.
I would have no hesitation in recommending her to any future employer -as she is passionate and loyal and gives of her best at all times. She is a pleasure to work with ! We wish her every success in her future endeavours.
