WORK EXPERIENCE

03/09/2012 – CURRENT


TRANSLATOR/ INTERPRETER Post of Kosovo JSC, Pristina, Kosovo


•     Previously helped the Employer in creating internal policies for the Company.


•     Certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for dangerous goods transported by air.


•     Previously, I acted as a coordinator and organization liaison for Serb employees (a minority community).


•     Also, been a part of the internal workgroup that devised new bilingual postal service forms in accordance with Universal Postal Union (UPU) regulations.


•     My duties consist of translation of post office documents and interpretation (both English and Serbian) in Board meetings, as well as the CEO Cabinet and other departments as needed, including high-level meetings with domestic ministries and international strategic partners.


•     My goal is to prepare materials in a timely fashion and ensure to convey the power of words and their true meaning from source to target language to facilitate effective communication, regardless of whether the said message is written in an informative, argumentative, or literary style.


•     Proofreading, editing, and quality control of translations of all contracts meeting proceedings, agendas, itineraries, financial reports, policies, regulations, SoPs, and philay publication materials. Restructuring of texts is among my main concerns, in order to improve wording where necessary by taking into all aspects related to the context, culture, vocabulary, sentence structure, etc., thus ensuring the most effective link between the author's message and the understanding of that message by the target audience.

GROUND STEWARD/GROUND STEWARDESS AND TICKET SALES AGENT – Pristina


International Airport Adem Jashari JSC, Pristina, Kosovo

•     My duties and activities in this position were closely related to the smooth transport of passengers to and from their airplanes. As e passenger service agent, my tasks were to complete successfully and on-time passenger acceptance and attend to airline customers before, after, or between flights. This work was intensive and under very high pressure on a daily basis, with irregular working hours as it operated 24 hours a day, dealing with the public, answering questions, and assisting passengers with various needs, always required being vigilant about the traveller’s safety during boarding or landing.


•     As a ticket agent, my duties consisted of ticket sales, ticket changes, verifying passenger identification, printing boarding passes, ensuring the delivery of baggage, and helping travellers to check in their baggage at ticket counters.


•     Then the administrative part was an experience that was closely related to the processing of passenger data, flight documents, drafting and the follow-up of procedures, always implementing applicable regulations and laws related to air transport, achieved only through continuous learning over the latest knowledge on eventual changes in order to complete the tasks as a whole, always abiding the rules and responsibilities.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AND CAR DRIVING INSTRUCTOR – Driving School

•     Vocational training as a car driving instructor leads me to another field that is again linked to public safety. The administrative work in the driving school kept me well-informed about applicable laws and regulations. The discussion of a considerable part of these legal obligations made me aware of the problems that our society faces, especially with the governance and administration of public goods, which have a direct impact on the environment and the daily life of ordinary citizens. The impact of legal infrastructure related to roads and finding potential new ways to organize this part of citizens’ public life have made me understand things at the core and look beyond the horizon.


•     My duties as an administrative assistant consisted of administrative and clerical tasks, including providing support to my director, other car driving instructors, and car driving candidates.


•     As a car driving instructor lecturer, my duties were to manage the theory class timing, teach the driving students about the right traffic rules, and inform student drivers about safe driving procedures.

•     My primary tasks were to arrange daily schedules, organize staff meetings, engage staff, plan and recruit new staff, delegate tasks, and make decisions about daily, monthly, and annual workflow processes related to broadcasted programs.


•     The vision of this radio station was to promote cultural values through diverse programs representing the interests of our society by tackling current topics with special emphasis on social welfare, which has always been the focus of this local radio station. I was there to translate their vision into a mission and actionable objectives for this media institution.


•     I produced most of the branding and identification of radio jingles, including marketing and advertisement.


•     Work in this media institution, as well as courses organized by OSCE for media, have taught me about the importance of daily honing universal values and humanity, teamwork, and leadership.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – The Assembly of the Municipality of Gjakova, Gjakova, Kosovo


•     Greet and sign in visitors, guide them to the appropriate locations and make them feel comfortable, both in person and over the . Manage front desk needs and verify that orders are placed as necessary to ensure supplies are available at all times.


•     Maintain, organize, and order general office supplies, including paper, pens, ink/toner, etc., to ensure teams have everything they need to succeed.


•     Manage and organize the team schedule and assist with the day-to-day operations of the office by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, preparing documents for meetings, and managing the calendar of the supervisors.


•     Other office tasks included generating reports and presentations, setting up meetings, keeping detailed meeting notes, and transcribing minutes from meetings.


•     I have voluntarily translated for other directories and the Mayor to assist their meetings.
