To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Kelly Moore and I am interested in joining the communications department at Manitoba Canola Growers Association.
If your organization is looking for someone whose goal is to achieve top performance outcomes, problem solve, and work long hours with other team members, then please review my resume and qualifications for your review.
I have recently graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric Writing and Communications. While I was reaching high standards for my degree I was also simultaneously working another job in a managerial position as a Supervisor at the Downtown YMCA-YWCA.
Furthermore I am a Lifeguard, First-Aid Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor at the YMCA-YWCA Downtown Branch of Winnipeg for four years. Being promoted to a supervisor requires myself to deal with the public as well as problem solve on a daily basis. In this position I direct different programs such as swimming lessons and open swimming to the public. This entails the organization and management of forty plus children into the classes that need be as well as deal with any grievances that guardians may have.
Being a First-Aid Instructor also requires countless hours of preparation, as well as fifteen hours on average of classroom time. It also entails me to teach the importance of preserving life for future First-Aid certified students.
However, during my time as a student at the University of Winnipeg I was a member of the Health and Wellness Peer Educators. The objective of this organization was to develop events and materials that raise awareness of health and wellness on campus. This included countless hours of preparation for the school year such as becoming safeTALK certified, as well as participating in the Sexual Assault Crisis Program put on by Klinic Community Health Centre.
In this volunteer position I was responsible for any and all social media involved on campus that included Instagram, Twitter, and . This required multitasking all events we put on at the university as well as promotional work within the student body.
I was also the creator and director of the Safe Sex and Safe Partying campaigns the Health and Wellness Peer Educators promoted on the University of Winnipeg campus. I assumed the role of the leader in this campaign and delegated multiple tasks to other volunteers, as well as promotional work within our social media outlet. For this campaign
we paired with Kinic Community Health Centre in using interactive games to understand the importance of safe sex and safe partying.
Moreover it was the responsibility of the Health and Wellness Peer Educators to expand and coordinate events such as Thrive and Body Awareness week in order to encourage all 7 dimensions of wellness in the campus community. For this our group worked endlessly to create meditation, stress relief, and fitness classes to the campus community in order to promote wellness on campus.
My resume will provide additional details regarding my qualifications and background. I look forward to hearing from you for a personal interview so that we can discuss your organization’s needs and performance you can expect from me in ing those needs.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and please do not hesitate to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Kelly Moore
About Me
Living with me outside of work is really quite relaxed.
I really do enjoy socializing a meeting new people at social gatherings. However, my main state is listening to music with heads while cooking or cleaning. Something to keep my mind occupied. I really enjoy being creative with my cooking so that means more food for my hosts!
I also try and find a copious amount of things to do while I am traveling. So I will be out of the house for the majority of thing time.
My hobbies include movie watching, going out with a few close friends, and cooking new and exciting dishes.
