I do not have much work experience yet, other than working in food service for 7 years, animal care and barn management for 10 years, and retail selling for 2 years. In addition, I regularly housesit for people, taking care of their homes and pets while they are gone. I would like to find a job where I can work with people, growing in and teaching languages. I have an excellent work ethic and am very dependable.
I will add a full CV when it becomes available.
About Me
I grew up in a small, rural town in western New York State. I lived on a farm where I learned to cultivate and harvest crops and take care of a wide range of animals. I began horseback riding when I was 9 years old and have been riding ever since. After riding for a few years, I began working at the stables, feeding, turning out, exercising, etc. I have been working at horse stables for over 10 years now. In my teenage years, I worked in food service, preparing and serving food at local fairs and festivals. For the past couple years, I have been working in retail and customer service. I do everything from being a cashier, stocking shelves, informing customers about products, and selling merchandise.
I am currently studying at a large university in Buffalo, NY where I study Spanish, linguistics, and cultural anthropology. Outside of the classroom, I also study Portuguese in my spare time. I hope to achieve many more languages over the years, possibly Arabic, Hebrew, German, French, etc.
I am a very lively person! I love life and want to live it fully! I believe everyone has a purpose and like to inspire and encourage other people to find theirs. I strive for equality and work to make sure no one is trampled on. In my spare time, I like to cook, bake, sing, play piano, read both fiction and non-fiction, listen to all kinds of music, go hiking, play with my dogs, go horseback riding, hang out with friends and talk, traveling and exploring new places. I am not a rowdy, obnoxious person. I consider myself, a thinker, very open-minded and kind and respectful to other people. I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable.
