Working in the hospitality industry for many years has given me the knowledge and opportunity to work in different environments. I am able to work efficiently in a team setting, or as an individual. As a front office manager, I understood what it meant to make a first impression and create a positive image for my company for every guest I came in with. Having an extremely outgoing, energetic, and welcoming personality makes it possible for me to excel in a position working with people and clients.
Graduating from Monroe Community College provided me with sufficient computer skills with Microsoft word, power point and excel. I have learned the importance of multitasking and organization in the workplace, as well as learning new operating systems quickly.
Being exposed to the hospitality industry for many years has demonstrated, for me, the importance of hard work. At my positions, in housekeeping, front desk, and as a server in a restaurant setting, I always worked with efficiency and care while dealing with guest’s and employee’s issues. I believe that the work one performs directly reflects them, and the company they represent. I am able to take direction and criticism professionally and adapt to ever-changing deadlines.
