ilja and nora

We are Ilja (42) and Nora (30), a married couple from Hamburg Germany, travelling Europe mostly by foot since 2015. We wandered through a big part of Germany, Switzerland and a big part of France.

Ilja is a skilled joiner/carpenter for 20 years and a painting artist since the age of seven 🙂 He works since he was eleven years old and has done a big range of different types of works during the last 30 years.

Nora has a very good hand for clearing gardens (weeding, pruning, ect.) and happily assists Ilja with carpentry and artworks.

We worked on organic farms, in many private households and for social projects/communities.

We love constructing verandas and parquet flooring, repairing windows, doors, building wooden shutters. We sand and paint tables, chairs, windows, doors and As an experienced joiner ( menuisier ), Ilja can construct or repair almost all kinds of things made of wood.

All general house keeping work is fine. We also did housesitting a couple of times.

As artists we draw and paint. Landscapes, animals, figures, portraits and caricatures. Our styles range from classic painterly to modern graffitineous artworks, fantasy, graffiti, cartoons and objects. We work on paper, canvas and more, especially we love to create big wallpaintings in different techniques.

With our graphics tablet we also create ready-to-print ( and to use on sites ) logos for small businesses during our voyage.
