EXPERIENCE
Military Field Recruiter Troops into Transportation  9/2014 – present
• I assist veterans and exiting service members gain a career in the
transportation industry by presenting our companies benefits to the future
student in a way that gets them excited to go to our CDL school to obtain their diploma. I assist them in filling out all the paperwork needed as well as assist
with the financial aid paperwork. I am responsible for following up with all
potential students by calling, texting or ing to gage their interest and
answer any questions they may have. I also schedule appointments to
complete enrollments and help keep up with the students schedule dates, I
also help with maintaining files on each of the veterans and soldiers that go
through our program.

PS-E Assistant Lowe’s  12/2009 – 07/2014
• I was able to assist the customers with anything from locating a product, to
Setting up an install. During my time at Lowe's I worked in numerous
departments such as Hardware, Paint, Install Sales, Pricing, Customer Service
and Project Sales-Exterior. I was trained to operate all of our power equipment
like the forklift and the star wars (stand up version of the forklift).I was also
trained to handle sales, take payments and do returns. All of this allowed me
to provide the best customer service possible. Recently, I started helping with organizing Pro Services events to give our contractors a chance to meet with
the vendors we use. I would schedule the vendors to come, find businesses
to donate for raffles and set up the event when the day came. In my most
recent position, PS-E Assistant, I helped our Exterior Specialist by maintaining
her schedule, keeping up with her appointment, taking care of any paperwork
that needed to be done, making calls to potential customers and
processing her sales. I would also train the other associates in the store so they
could start helping as well. Since I started assisting her, her sales went up
dramatically.

Firefighter/EMT Chancellor FD  12/2006 – 03/2012
• I was able to get the training necessary to become a Firefighter/EMT. This
allowed me to assist the citizens of Spotsylvania County in any emergency
situation, and get them the help they needed. As a firefighter, I spent most
of my time riding as the Officer In Charge (OIC). This put me in charge of
up to 5 other crew members, allowed me to make the necessary
decisions needed on the scene, and sometimes put me in command
of the entire scene. When acting as an EMT, I usually held the
Attendant In Charge (AIC) position. This meant I was the one doing
patient care, and was in charge of the other crew members on the
ambulance, which could be up to 4. Both positions required me to use
the radio to communicate with other units, our dispatch center and
sometimes call in other groups, such as the Red Cross or VDOT. I also had to create and submit a report after every call. If I wasn't acting as the OIC or AIC then I would ride in the back and take orders from whoever was in charge. I was also trained to drive the ambulances and fire trucks. This allowed me to help out if we were short staffed on drivers. After a few years I was released as a Preceptor, which allowed me to train other members either to drive the ambulance or as an EMT-B or firefighter.

About Me

I'm a very outgoing person with kind of a big personality. I get along with just about everyone I meet. I'm very honest. I like to be outside (hiking, camping, etc) and also like playing sports. Baseball is my favorite the Braves! If I'm not outside I like to read or binge watch Netflix.

I like getting to experience new skill sets and getting to teach what I know to others.
