My skills
I am an enthusiastic, independent, and highly extroverted person who excels in people-focused roles. I have recently graduated from Heriot-Watt University, having read engineering. During my studies, I was employed part time as a support worker, specialising in adults with learning and physical disabilities. I flourish in high-pressure situations and enjoy mentally challenging environments. I love to socialize and work with others but easily recognize the time to work hard and get the job done.

Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics, Autonomous
and interactive systems with honours;
As part of my degree I participated in and led many group projects. I gave business level presentations , where I had to sell the devices I helped design to my tutors. I always pushed our group further to not only fulfil the brief, but add marketing to our designs, such as posters advertising our products. As an extrovert I always tried to get everyone involved and make it as enjoyable as possible. Whilst writing my dissertation, I completed indepth research online, other sources such as books and blogs to produce a vast foundation to reference from. University further developed my ability to learn and retain vast quantities of information very quickly, and I still enjoy memorising interesting information to test my recollection skills.
SUPPORT WORKER
CLASS UK; August 2015 to August 2017
Achieve Together; June 2017 to Present
As a support worker, I help adults to live independently by increasing their freedom and ability to make choices based on personal preferences. In my role I complete many tasks such as preparing meals, clothes washing, housework, cleaning, driving to different events, and supporting the service users with their own activities. I also regularly track their finances, audit the transaction books, and have provided detailed analysis of their expenditures; this was a unique task that I volunteered for. My work is very intense, but I have learned lots of new skills and developed good relationships with my colleagues. Through my job I can be upbeat, flexible, meet and converse with new people, and build strong, long-lasting relationships with the adults I support.
SECRETARY
Heriot-Watt University Drama Club; April 2019 to December 2019
During my time at university I joined a drama club and was elected as the secretary after a successful campaign. My responsibilities included booking rooms every week for rehearsals and taking minutes at the weekly meetings. When advertising the show through stalls, I made rotas according to everyone’s availability, ensuring an even contribution between each member. I also organised the space for the end of term show and managed the coordination amongst multiple departments.
TUTOR
Explore Learning; March 2015 to August 2015
I helped children with their educational needs by offering them support in maths and English. I often tutored children with autism, so I learned to adapt my tutoring style to communicate effectively with them. This strengthened my communication skills and taught me many approaches for tutoring children.
