I am a student from Greece who enjoys travelling and meeting new people. I'm very interested in learning more about new cultures and the way of living in other countries. My goal is to find a part-time job, work hard and gain experiences during my travels.
Starting from October 2015, I have been working in La Pasteria, a Greek chain restaurant with Italian food. I've been a waiter's assistant as well as a waitress. My responsibilities included greeting the costumers upon arrival, taking their order and organizing when the main course will get to their table. I have also worked as a bartender at the same restaurant, which included making cocktails, opening the bottles of wine for the costumers and cleaning up the bar afterwards. As part of my job was to recommend wine that would pair up with the food, I have taken a seminar on wine tasting and food pairing.
Since 2015 I have been studying Media, Communication and Culture at Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences of Athens.
I am fluent in English and currently working on taking a B2-level exam in French.
My hobbies include travelling - I am slowly finding my way through Europe.
I also enjoy reading books, ranging from philosophy to literature.
Lastly, I am a founding member of the Documentary club at my university. Our aim is to learn more about cinema techniques and actually produce our own documentary soon.

Hello, my name's Mandy and I'm 20 years old.
I'm just a girl trying to see the world. I try to keep myself busy at all times and enjoy working on all kinds of projects!
I am an avid reader. My favorite authors include Bataille, Pynchon and Joyce. I read a lot on my free time - especially while on the bus.
I also enjoy listening to music very very much. One of my goals is to learn how to play the piano and study theory and harmony of music. Among my favorites are Charles Mingus, Johnny Cash, La Femme, Radiohead, Tuxedomoon, The Doors, Joy Division, Gang of Four, Ty Segall, the Swans, Miles I could go on and on and on, but I think you get my point!
My goal in life is to see as many countries as possible, listen to music, watch movies, read books and generally live it to the fullest. 🙂
