My skills
I am a friendly, reliable and hard-working individual with a passion for the outdoors. I have worked various part-time jobs during the last few years studying at school and at University, but I would like to gain more skills by becoming a working traveller now that I am graduating from University in July. I have a highly transferable skill set including good management skills and team leadership gained from being left in sole responsibility of bar, shop and café environments. This responsibility reflects my maturity and trustworthy nature. I feel I have good communication skills too having had experience in interacting with the public both face to face and via the e (e market researcher for years). I have subsequently learnt the value of being attentive after receiving positive feedback from customers and employers. I am also bilingual, and I feel that my fluency in both English and Welsh helps me to understand and learn other languages better, as well as adapt well to different social situations. At University, with friends and in school, I was required to transition from English to Welsh quite often which made me think bilingually, exercising my brain more. I love to write creatively and value innovative projects. I would consider myself very friendly, understanding and independent. I have strong community values as I like being part of a group in either an academic environment, social situation or the workplace. Of course, I can also work independently and efficiently and I really enjoy my own company as well.

About Me
I absoluy love the outdoors. At home, I have two border collie dogs names Oriel and Mika and I simply love animals. A few years back I took horse-riding lessons, so I'm keen to work with horses if possible, as well as any other farm or outdoor animals. I love hiking and going on long walks during both the summer and winter here in Wales where I'm from. Our scenery is beautiful, but I'm keen to now explore other magnificent landscapes. Although I have travelled for holidays, I'm keen to see what else the world has to offer in terms of different types of people and other cultures, and would love to do that by being a working traveller.
I am a keen reader ranging from classics like Bronte, Austen and Shelley, to contemporary travel writer Bill Bryson and neo-Victorian author Sarah Waters. Because I studied English literature at University, my favourites differ in genre massively but that is what adds to the attraction of reading: being able to thrust yourself into an imaginary world and feel what the author wants you to. Because it's one of my first loves, I have always read and read about other cultures/people/places; reading is what encouraged me to decide to go away.
My outlook on life is positive, I'm wanting to learn more than just literature, chemistry and history; after a full 21 years of academic education, I'm now keen to travel and gain an internal, lifelong education about myself and the world I live in.
