Hi, my name is Eiqah. I am an adaptable, responsible, and a mild mannered person with a passion for learning new things.

I learn things pretty quickly and can work independently without supervision and also working with others in a team. I strive to get out of my comfort zone and push myself to the best of my capabilities in anything that I set my mind onto.

April 2015, June 2016 – July 2016: Hyatt Borneo Management 

Position: Banquet Assistant/Kitchen Helper

Job scope: As part of my college mandatory attachment program, I have worked in the Banquet Department under the Public Banquet, Royal Banquet, as well as the Airport banquet assistant for the VVIP royalty guests. I have also worked under their Pastry Department for a while in June, before I was assigned to the Hot Kitchen Department as the kitchen assistant in July.

December 2017 – 2018: Bian Hoe Sdn Bhd

Position: Sales Coordinator/Sales Executive

Job scope: I have worked under a private singaporean company as a Sales Executive cum Sales Coordinator where I mainly managed the works under the project department; issuing quotations and schedules as well as product specifications for the clients.

April 2019: Swiss Ho Kuala Belait

Position: Assistant Cook

Job scope: I have worked as an assistant cook at Swiss Ho where my job consisted of cooking and preparing for customers' orders, making purchase orders for the ingredients needed, ing the suppliers about the supply deliveries, making work shift schedule for the kitchen crews, as well as preparing the menu for the kitchen.

Job scope: As a galleyhand my job consisted of serving the provided food for the rig crews, preparing salad and the mess hall for mealtimes, washing dishes and cleaning the galley. Whereas as a stewardess/roomgirl, I have to clean my designated area as well as cleaning the crews' rooms on the level given under my care.

Job scope: As a Stewardess, I am responsible for my designated floor's cleanliness and hygiene as well as making sure the cabins on that floor are well cleaned and prepared for the guests.

Job scope: As a Cook's mate,, my responsibilities are mostly to support and assist the First Cook and the Chief Cook with their tasks, as well as helping prepare the ingredients for mealtimes, cooking for breakfast time and making sure the galley stays clean and ready for daily operation.

Position: Cook (Part-time) Dec 2022 - March 2023

Job scope: As a part-time cook on a 3 months basis contract, I was in charged of the whole operation of the kitchen, be it cooking, presentation, ingredients preparation, ingredients inventory (storing, ordering, etc.), as well as the deciding the menu.

May 2023 - Current : KTL Services Sdn. Bhd. 

Position: Stewardess - Laundry (Giant POE 18 Barge)

Job scope: As a Stewardess in charged of the laundry, I am responsible for the hygiene of the laundryroom, as well as all the linens and clothes that are sent down there to be cleaned.

About Me

I love sightseeing, learning new skills, singing and listening to music. I also like to write creative writings and reading fictions or non-fictions so long as they are interesting.

I like to eat, especially fruits and vegetables as well as desserts (I have a sweet tooth.)

But most of all, I like to gain new experiences. It's like going on an adventure and learning new skills. It could be tough and draining, but as long as I can use it to improve myself, it's a worthwhile lesson to have.
