About Me
As a working traveller, I would like to gain life experiences that will aid my spiritual growth and personal development.
In my free time I study and want to complete the degree I stated 15 years ago. I completed my CELTA qualification in 2016 and have been using my teaching skills to help ESOL learners secure jobs in my current and previous roles. I hope to use these two to help me change careers and become an English Language teacher working abroad.
My hobbies include: crocheting blankets and scarfs, up-cycling furniture, going to the cinema, reading books - educational and self help, listening to music, watching TED talks shows on youtube and meeting new people. I don't watch TV, however during the winter season I will watch 'strictly come dancing' and 'Planet' shows - currently Blue Planet, narrated by David Attenborough. I would love how to salsa dance and am interested in taking up yoga.
I enjoyed travelling to Thailand in 2015 and Vietnam in 2016. My limited experience of travelling has given me great pleasure and I want to see more of the world for longer. In 2018 I will be travelling for 5 months in Asia, Philippines and Indonesia between 17th April and 22nd September.
I had a life changing operation that has allowed me to think about my future on a wider scale. I have been accessing resources to explore the many opportunities in this world to help me grow personally. I have always wanted to travel, and feel very excited learning about different cultures and customs but also grateful that I will be experiencing some of the most beautiful places in the world.
On my travels I want to try out new things like surfing, kayaking, perhaps looking after elephants, teaching abroad or helping at a guest house.
