Along with my degree I have years of work experience in many different industries as I have been in constant employment since I was 16, including the years at University. I am currently employed at a screening company where I screen up to 100 Candidates at one time. This has given me excellent attention to detail and time management. This role requires me to be extremely trust worthy and to be an outstanding information handler as I have to obide by information security and date protection acts. I have also worked in sales industry, where I was a flooring sales advisor which has improved my confidence and approachability. Furthermore I have worked in the clothing industry and in the catering industry at an events team. At the catering company I worked as a Waiter, behind the bar and helping set up for parties. Behind the bar was my favourite and I would really like to do it again. I have a knack for languages as I am fluent in English and Spanish and am currently learning Portugese. I love Taekwondo, and by this time next year I will hopefully be a black belt and have taken my instructors course so that I may teach the sport.

PERSONAL STATEMENT:
The research that has been done on criminogenic society throughout history has had a tremendous impact on how different nations, especially westernised culture, understand and deal with the incessant problem of crime. This correlates with how they conduct obligatory punishments and procedures to promote welfare. This is where my enthusiasm and motivation for Criminology comes from. This pushed me to undertake an undergraduate degree in Criminology at London South Bank University where I graduated with a degree. After I finished university I spent six months in South America. Half my time was spent in Peru where I worked for a short period of time carrying out manual labour while also visiting family. The other three months I was backpacking across the continent, an experience that let me observe how the criminal justice system operates in these third world countries. The time abroad aided in honing my Spanish while also improving my confidence and communication skills making me more independent. Since my return back to the UK, I found employment within the month and am still currently working at that company. This shows my determination and eagerness to work and contribute to society. I am eager to start a profession in Criminology and be a part of a philanthropic workforce. Studying Criminology accompanied by my work experience has helped me develop team work and leadership skills while keeping me motivated to achieve all my goals.
