This is a rustic guesthouse located at the trail head to Mt. Chirripo, Costa Rica. Many travelers come to the area not only for the Park, but to enjoy the cool air, free-access hiking, waterfalls, slow village life and beautiful high elevation forest. We are always working on interesting projects here and invite work-exchange interns to participate in their spare time!
Though the village may be slow moving, days at the hos can be active, multi-lingual and multi-cultural. Our Family style guesthouse has a common kitchen for guest use (no restaurant). We can house up to 22 guests and are often busy during the high season.

How we work
In exchange for your participation you enjoy the same benefits as the guests at our cozy lodge, including cooking facilities, hot showers, free coffee & tea. Additionally, you receive free private accommodation/shared bath,laundry facilities, and the many other benefits of being a part of our family. Food is NOT included in the exchange, but we do have a fully equipped shared kitchen for your use, including spices and cooking oil. We include you on regular trips to the Farmers' Market. There is a reasonably priced Spanish teacher in the area if you wish to further your language skills.
