My skills
I currently work with animals and plan to for the rest of my life. I am a few months away from obtaining my veterinary technician's license and have been working at veterinary hospitals for about 8 years straight now. My current job handles wildlife as well as cats, dogs, exotics, and avian species. I have volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary and sea turtle research group in Costa Rica. While volunteering at the wildlife sanctuary, I was mainly in charge of the baby animals, of which there was a variety of species. My current job is practicing a fear free initiative, which means that we aim to make all veterinary visits happy visits. I have also worked many years in customer service.

About Me
I am in my mid-30s but young at heart. I love animals and working with them, and plan to work with animals for the rest of my life. I enjoy beaches, swimming holes, and hot weather. I love to explore nature. Getting lost and going on adventures has become a favorite activity of mine. I work hard when I am working but I also love to relax. I read a lot and am kind of quiet, but am passionate about my career and my beliefs. I don't think my life would be complete without pets, my bicycle, good friends, and good food. I have been vegan for almost 15 years but I appreciate other cultures and would not turn down something that is offered in kindness. I love learning about other cultures and especially enjoy immersing myself in the family life of families from other parts of this world. I am in the process of learning Spanish. I enjoy helping out around the house and like things to be organized, clean, and in their place.
