2014 – Research Associate: Community Engagement: Mapping for Change, Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, University College London.
 CAP4 Access - A Framework 7 funded EU project with partners in Germany, Spain and Austria, collectively improving accessibility in European cities. Mapping for Change lead on the London Pilot, crowd sourcing data to the Wheelmap mapping platform, co-design, use case and user testing of based navigation tools, awareness raising and community engagement.

 Design for Wellbeing – Working in partnership with transport and heath studies at UCL. Participatory mapping researching the impact of busy roads on mobility, health and wellbeing.
 Clean Air London – a citizen science project: GIS mapping (Manifold and Mapping for Change Community Mapping Platform) of air quality data from community locations around London

 Plings (Places to Go, Things to Do) A Department of Education funded project, working with 20 Local authorities the research consulted young people, families and local communities to map information networks and how access to youth activities information could be improved.
 Leadership Lab Cultural Sector Monitoring and Evaluation Research. Funded by the Cultural Leadership Programme working in partnership with North-West Arts organisations PANDA, GMMAZ, and Music Leader North West.
 Substance / Portsmouth City Council 2007-8. Researching Extended Services provision and barriers to take up in targeted hard to reach groups. Mapping extended services provision to create a central information resource. Qualitative and participatory research, analysis and report writing.
2008- Research Associate - Ideas Mine / Bradford Council

 Monitoring & Evaluation of the Northern Way Bradford A2E projects. 50 organisations working with SRB claimants to provide pathways to learning, skills and employment. Consultation with beneficiaries and organisations, Analysis and dissemination of qualitative and quantitative data.
2007- 2008 - Project Manager - Time Bank / UK Online

 An intergenerational ‘V’ funded Digital Mentoring Project working in partnership with Time Bank UK and UK Online centres across Greater Manchester enabling older residents with personalised internet usage. The project recruited over 200 volunteers and delivered learning to 200 participants.
2007 - Stockport MBC / Stockport Cultural Sector Mapping Project
 Community consultation – participation in cultural activities
 Mapping of Borough wide cultural activities – LA, private and third sector providers and Priority 1 Neighbourhoods.
 Evaluation of current information pathways for cultural activities.

2007 – Manchester Digital Development Agency (MDDA) Manchester Digital Challenge One Manchester

 A national competition for funds to deliver innovative digital inclusion projects in which Manchester came 2nd out of 75 respondents. Review of national and regional ICT priorities and targets relevant to social and digital inclusion.
 Community consultation in priority areas to evaluate needs and demand for services.
 Consolidation of existing data via Manchester City Council’s key strategic documents and the activities proposed in the ONE-Manchester bid.
 Mapping of individual regeneration area targets and priorities (Strategic Regeneration Frameworks) linking local need with proposed One Manchester activities.
 Integration of consultation & action research information with user journeys and personalised user packs.
2006 - Clicks and Links Ltd - Connecting Barnsley Feasibility Study

 A feasibility study located in an area of multiple deprivations in South Yorkshire. A programme of extensive community consultation leading to the development of a range of options for a “Connected Community” broadband project. Qualitative and participatory research, data analysis and reporting and recommendations.
2004 – 2006 Project Manager - Greater Manchester Broadband Project
 A North West Development Agency funded project promoting Broadband technology and ICT skills training in priority areas of Greater Manchester. The implementation of four pilot projects in Greater Manchester. Successful delivery of NWDA project output requirements on time and within budget. Line management of the project team. Partnership working with local government, community groups, key agencies, and the ICT industry.
