Host overview
We are the owners of Ansteys Beach Backpackers on the Bluff in Durban, a suburb about 15 kilometers from Durban City Centre. We have owned and run our establishment for the past 14 years and it has become a very popular hos. We're a surfing family and our lives revolve around the beach and we run our hos with the same mindset.
Our hos is situated on the beach at Ansteys - 30 metres from the beach. Lifeguard protected unspoilt beaches, great surfing, swimming, rock pools.
Shift Supervisor : looking for someone to work as a 3rd shift worker as a Shift Supervisor to ensure that everyone gets sufficient time off work.
Shifts are from 6 am to 2 pm and then again from 2 pm to 10 pm
We currently have two Shift Supervisors but need a 3rd shift person.
General Handyman/Carpenter.
Barista/Cafe Assistant who can help out at our cosy on-site cafe/coffee shop, which is open mornings only.

How we work
We will pay for any work/shifts done. Reception staff earn commissions on sales in the surf shops, shuttles, surf lessons, tours sold etc as well their shift pay
Rooms can be provided - there is a staff room in the main building but we have small, very basic rooms as well.
We do not provide meals as we do pay for any work done.
