Association of Relief Volunteers is a non-profit organization working mostly in communities in Angana and Andhra Pradesh states in India. Their mission is to build relationships to increase understanding and unity among peoples of different cultures and countries. They work on enabling impoverished communities to claim their entitlements as Indian citizens. The community is focused on empowering youth to improve their communities and provide opportunities to better their future.
So far more than 1000 international travelers visited us and did wonderful work like building homes, children education. International volunteer teams visit ARV for 10 days to two weeks and work on house construction along with homeowners in the remote villages. About 600 International Volunteers have been involved in building homes for homeless Dalits and Tribals since 2005 in Andhra Pradesh. Volunteering in Andhra Pradesh is a great way to learn about a new culture and people, their everyday life and customs.
Being a volunteer is another step toward a better world with wonderful experience that you haven’t imagined before. By spending time in a village, working with the locals, and giving your time you are creating a sense of responsibility, empowering Dalit and Tribal communities, and social change.
