Giving Young People an Alternative to College

Interesting article in the New York Times about how to spend your time when at collage   50 years ago a bachelor degree pretty much guaranteed a baby boomer a job, often for life in a cooperation their parents would have been proud of. As you know, times have changed and having a bachelor degree now is having a tie on in the interview, every one else one on as well 🙂 So for millennials and centennials you need a tie that swirls and plays music as well. This is what Working Traveller is all about ( swirly ties? Really?)  Take a year of two out being a Working Traveller and you will gain the experience you need to find out what it is you want to do and what you are good at, and what bosses can see you good at. This will reflect in your references so when you go home to get a job they can see what you have been doing and how you stand out from every one else who still have a vanilla education. See what Jeffrey J. Selingo says in his article on alternatives to college.
